Overview
Seeking a Linux L3 Administrator with extensive experience in Oracle Linux 7.x/8.x/9.x and Red Hat Linux, responsible for managing complex, multi-server, and clustered environments in a 24×7 operational setup.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and troubleshoot critical Linux servers, including web servers (Apache, Nginx), application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic), database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB), and file servers (NFS, SMB, SAN/NAS).
- Patch Management & Upgrades: Apply patches, updates, and security fixes; perform kernel upgrades and rollbacks with minimal downtime.
- Clustering & HA: Configure and maintain HA clusters, load balancers, and failover solutions using Oracle Clusterware, Red Hat Cluster Suite, Pacemaker, Corosync, Keepalived.
- Critical Linux Activities:
- Kernel tuning and parameter optimization for performance and stability.
- Troubleshoot disk space, memory leaks, and high CPU utilization using tools like top, htop, iostat, vmstat.
- Resolve boot issues, filesystem corruption, and network outages.
- Implement security hardening, SSH key management, and access control policies.
- Multi-Server Management: Administer and optimize large-scale deployments with multiple web servers, databases, and application servers.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Deploy and monitor servers using Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, ELK Stack, and analyze logs for proactive issue detection.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, Ansible, Shell for tasks like log rotation, backup automation, and configuration management.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement comprehensive backup and recovery plans for databases, application data, and system configurations. Test and validate recovery procedures regularly.
- Security Compliance:
- Manage firewall rules, SELinux, IPTables, and TCP Wrappers.
- Mitigate security vulnerabilities through regular scanning, patching, and log analysis.
- Implement and monitor SSL/TLS certificates and manage secure communications.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides for critical incidents and complex environments.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years in Linux Administration (Oracle Linux, Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Expertise in clustering, HA, load balancing, and multi-server management.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ansible, Shell.
- Advanced troubleshooting for Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, WebLogic, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Monitoring using Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, ELK Stack.
- Security hardening and incident response management.
- Certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, Oracle Linux Admin (Preferred).
Work Schedule:
- 24×7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Remote work with on-call support as required.
